Families are important to us, as we believe that strong marriages and families are the foundation of strong churches and communities. It is in the family that essential principles and values of life are taught and modelled and where the Gospel can be lived out effectively. As such there is no better group to effect positive change in the world than the family.
EBC offers a number of ministries focused on helping families grow together as disciples of Jesus:
Parents’ Facilities during Church services:
- The Parents’ lounge is a tremendous asset for our parents with busy toddlers. Parents are able to watch the service on CCTV, while keeping a watchful eye on their children as they play.
- Our Cry Room is a facility in the main sanctuary for mothers who are feeding children.
First Contact Group: This is a Support group for pregnant moms, or moms with newborns and babies.
Baby Clinic: We meet most Wednesday mornings at 9.15am. Sister Ellen answers moms’ questions, checks baby’s milestones, weighs and inoculates baby. Often associated with chatting and coffee!
Socials: We meet every 2-3 months. During the warmer weather we plan outdoor activities eg picnics and braai’s. During the cooler months indoor activities eg movies and popcorn and other fun evenings
Seminars and Workshops: We plan talks and information evenings at various times during the year depending on the needs and requests from our parents.
