A HUMBLE HEART

Attitude to God. Poor in Spirit. Recognizing your spiritually bankruptcy.

Attitude to Self. Attitude of heart. Inward thing. Abilities etc are gifts. Not from yourself. Different forms of pride. Boasting or self pity, both have self in view.

Attitude to Others. My eyes are not haughty… humble eyes. High and mighty; looking down on other people.

A QUIET HEART

Identify the Noise. Where is it coming from? What is causing it? What is the content of the noisiness.

Learn the Secret. A weaning process. It is a process. I have learned the secret. Not passive, we do it. Conscious, alert and chosen. Happiness is a choice. Dying to our restless, fretful and irritable ways does not come easy. We need to silence (sshh)
The noise and tumult of our desires, fears, opinions, anxieties, agendas and irritabilities. It is a component of self mastery.

 

A CONFIDENT HEART

The Israel of God. God’s people. The Church (Called out ones); Beloved; Chosen; Saints (Holy Ones); Sons and Daughters; Brothers and Sisters; Disciples.

Trust in God’s promises. Faith in God delivers us from proud self-will. The promises are future orientated and our worry is normally also about the future.

Now and Forevermore. Quiet trust in God also has a present as well as a future orientation. Put your faith in God and quiet your restless heart.
